City Uprising HIV Outreach Day

City Uprising is a unique opportunity for people to unite throughout Baltimore to love and serve the city TOGETHER. Through focused service on three areas of need (HIV, local schools, and local parks) we seek to be a physical example to our city of how we can unite to bring change. At the same time we desire to begin the process of restoring the Church as a trustworthy and caring part of our community that exists to share the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 33:9 Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise, and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.

City Uprising HIV Outreach Day 2014

This year, on Saturday, June 28, 2014, we will be bringing together over 500 volunteers, approximately 250 from Baltimore City and County, to serve the community. Last year, by testing and assisting at four different locations, our volunteers and partners (the JACQUES Initiative and the Gallery Church of Baltimore) encountered over 700 people. Thank you to all of those that were able to make this happen! This year, we’re hoping for an even bigger and better event. Sign up here to serve!

Locations:

Martin Pollak Project, Inc. (21224)
Payne Memorial A.M.E (21217)
St. Matthews United Methodist Church (21218)
Unity United Methodist Church (21223)
First and Franklin Presbyterian Church (21201)

Let’s not make this just a one day event!

There are monthly testing events at four different locations staffed by JACQUES Initiative and HopeSprings volunteers! Find out more information at our Service Opportunities page.
